7404-121 Lot of two CHAPLIN patent planes. Both based on Chaplin's first patent marketed by TOWER & LYON. One No. 8 fore plane with steel tote and knob, replacement Stanley cutter with metal piece to cover the hole. Japanning 80% and metal otherwise clean. And a corrugated sole jack plane, with Bakelite tote and wood knob, japanning mostly complete, cutter unmarked but looks original, light surface corrosion on metal. Good (HUH705,720) 75-150
