Based on Nelson Palmer's original 1867 patent, this design featured three separate adjusting levers plus an adjustable throat, a very complex design that Metallic soon abandoned in favor of the more familiar Palmer & Storke patent. Metallic's name cast around knob and patent date around tote. The tote and knob are bird's-eye maple and almost certainly replacements but very well done, unmarked cutter. Good (HNL337) 100 - 200
