7101-325 STAR shade cutter. Made by the STAR SHADE CUTTER CO., established in 1907 just 10 miles up the road from the Fine Tool Journal, in St. Joseph, MI. Large handled gear wheel turns shade holder and cutter mounted on one end is spring mounted. Has about 80% of original japanning, decorative paint, and red plaque with maker name. Needs some cleaning, especially of rust, and with some lubrication it seems like it would work good as new. Looks like an early model. Good 50-100 (RRT1146)
