  • Full lot description is below photo on bid page.
  • Under the "Place Bid" button is a "Bid as Proxy" check box. This allows you to leave a maximum bid and other bidders will need to increase their bids up until your proxy bid. You will be notified by email if your maximum bid is outbid.
  • Occasionally, we misnumber a tool in a photo. We try very hard to avoid this, but with so many lots, it does happen. In all cases, the written description will prevail. Tools are sold by the description and not the photo numbers.

7003-051 BIRMINGHAM "B Plane" No. 5 jack plane. George Mosher was a Stanley employee who ripped off the basic Bailey design, changed it just enough to get his own patent, and started the Birmingham Plane Co. which became better known for its T-shaped rabbet planes. This Bailey knockoff of a Stanley No. 5 has a 14" sole, cast No. 5 at toe, B-Plane marked cutter, tote and knob worn and tote may be replacement, some discoloration to metal and surface rust. Japanning 75%. Good 50-100 (CBM907
