7002-095. Lot of three DISSTON saws. An early example with optimistic eagle medallion and pre- "& Son" inchworm stamp, 28" edge, 5 tpi, blade looks lightly cleaned, handle has wear and top horn tip missing and smoothed over, repaired crack in base of handle. Good nib and teeth good except for one broken tooth. The split nuts have been replaced with later nuts except for medallion. Looks to date to late 1840s or early 1850s. And a D-8 with thumbhole, 28" blade with 5 tpi, good etch and blade has been lightly cleaned, some spots of slight pitting. Handle has wear and some paint spots, some dings to wood and user initials stamped on backside. From the Cecil Holmes collection. Good- & better 100-200
