7404-143 OSGOOD patented ratchet brace. Ratchet mechanism patented by J. Lester Osgood in 1886 and manufactured by SAXTON & OSGOOD of Buffalo, 9" sweep, metal oxidized but no rust. Works well. A rare brace. Good (SHK710) 200-400
