7003-154 Lot of two aluminum bodied PHELPS patternmaker planes. One with fully aluminum cast body with diamond cutouts behind cutter, lever cap marked "Phelps, Oakland, Cal" and cutter marked with number 8. Sole slightly compassed. Plus one with wood knob and tote, body similar to a scrub plane, cast with "Phelps Bros, Pittston, PA" behind the BARTON cutter that's numbered 10. Tote has hole in it behind screw so possibly repurposed. Both soles have a little wear, and the Oakland one also has some casting flaws in sole. Good 50-100 (CBM888, 889)
