7003-147 Lot of two BIRMINGHAM PLANE CO. block planes. Both similar to the one shown on page 191, Figure 237b, in PTAMPIA I with looped lever cap and adjustable throat mechanism similar to the Bailey patent on Stanley No. 9-1/2 block planes. One is just a little over 6" long and other nearly 7" long. One has partial mark on cutter, other does not have visible mark. Some dinging to metal, throats are ok, surface rust spots, japanning 70-80%. Longer one has repaired cheek with a new plate put over it and screwed in. It's well done and doesn't appear to affect function. Brass knobs have some dinging and tarnish. Good- & better 60-120 (CBM894)
