Patented 9/21/91 by Silas Downey and sold by Orr & Locket Hardware of Chicago; examples we've seen have a range of different stocks and it may have been marketed as a separate level attachment. This is in a 30" x 3-1/2" softwood stock with a hanghole in one end, some staining and wear.
