7102-176 KEYSTONE TOOL WORKS jack plane. The Keystone Tool Works was part of Gates Foundry Co. in Wilkes Barre, PA. The Gates Foundry provided Edwin Hahn with castings for his planes as well. Planes manufactured by Keystone Tool Works had body castings very similar to the Hahn planes with the knobs, handles, numbers, and sizes being alike. Iron stamped ?Keystone Tool Works, Wilkes Barre, PA," good wood knob and tote, plating on lever cap 75%, japanning 80%, corrugated sole, marked No. 5 in bed behind knob. Keystone Tool Works manufactured planes between 1913 and 1917 and examples are uncommon. Good (REW250) 50-100
