The name "Buck Rogers" was first applied to this line of planes introduced in 1950 as a complete redesign of the traditional bench plane design, with knob and tote made of "unbreakable" tenite thermoplastic, larger frog area and ergonomic design. This one is a Type 1, bed was repainted white then black at some point, hairline crack in left cheek above the throat, tote a little loose, overall wear. Could use some TLC. Good- (HNL1056) 30-60
