7101-243 DISSTON & TOLAND butchering saw. Knife shaped blade, 10-1/2'" long, with split nuts in handle. Has inchworm Disston & Toland type stamp similar to Disston's early stamp with Phila below it, Cast Steel and Warranted on either side. Some minor surface pitting. Toland made saws in Philadelphia in 1843 to 1846 and partnered with Henry Disston at one point. Rare. Good 100-200 (BOP88)
