7003-274 Lot of two JEREMY TAYLOR type braces. Jeremy Taylor's 1836 patent is the second oldest American brace patent and his design was copied by other makers. One of these is marked "Hebron Mfg. Co."; Hebron, CT was the home of Taylor himself and other brace makers, 9" sweep. The other one is unmarked and missing the spring-actuated lever that locks the bit, 8" sweep.
