7101-019 Lot of two SARGENT bench planes. A No. 414 jack plane with proper cutter, later type, brass logo insert in lever cap. Japanning 80% and possibly retouched, a few spots of nickel loss on lever cap, wood has some wear and dinging. And a No. 9 smoothing plane from Sargent's "VBM" line of Shaw's patent planes, which allowed the frog to be moved backwards or forwards with the cutter clamped in position.?Proper cutter and VBM lever cap, repaired crack in tote and some dinging to wood, small nick in edge of cutter, japanning 95%.
